The Ask

For Jeep’s Christmas campaign, the aspiration was high: produce a magical, snow-covered holiday setting that felt immersive and authentic. However, with only a week to execute, every detail—from sourcing materials to coordinating logistics—had to be meticulously planned and executed with efficiency.

“What are we gonna do with these extra 300 boxes of potato flakes?”
The Challenge

The challenge was an interesting one—transforming a location into a picturesque winter wonderland on an extremely tight timeline.

The Solution

With creative teams debating cost and coverage, production took an unconventional but practical approach—shopping. Knowing that artificial snow solutions were both costly and time-consuming, we scoured 10-12 bulk stores, clearing out their inventory of potato flakes to simulate fresh snowfall. This unexpected solution provided the texture and visual quality needed while keeping us within budget and on schedule.

Despite the freezing outdoor shoot and working within the constraints of a small social budget, we prioritized crew comfort to maintain efficiency and morale. Heating tents, torpedo heaters, and some of the best warm food we’ve had on set in a while kept the team in good spirits.
