DB came to us with the challenge of creating a broadcast spot for their crossover promotions with the film ‘Jumanj’*, where we needed to composite multiple actors, all filmed separately on blue screen, into a single cohesive shot.
The major hurdle was not just aligning the actors but also managing color matching and maintaining a seamless look across all the footage. The background scenes were also non-existent and would need to be replaced in post.
Using After Effects, we created a full environment using 2D assets supplied by the studio. Anything in 3D, we built. We tackled the compositing and color correction, ensuring each actor blended naturally into the environment. With careful attention to detail, we matched the lighting, shadows, and color tones to make the scene feel unified.
