Fox Sports needed a dynamic animated teaser intro for the U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) to air before all of their games during the World Cup. The objective was to create a powerful and visually compelling piece that would build anticipation and national pride among viewers.
No faces. Unfortunately, due to contracting with multiple brands and likeness rights, there was a restriction on using player likenesses, requiring a creative approach to maintain excitement and authenticity.
To overcome these hurdles, we utilized strategic camera angles, shadows, and cropped compositions to obscure player faces while still maintaining a strong sense of movement and identity. The fully illustrated 2D animation allowed us to craft an engaging visual narrative without relying on direct player representation.
